Programme: Italian GT4 Championship ACI Sport + International GT4 Championship
Car: McLaren 570S GT4
AB Corse is looking for a Senior Race Engineer to manage the 2026 season in a McLaren 570S GT4, with involvement in two championships (national + international) and testing activities.
Role and responsibilities
• Complete technical management of the weekend:
• Work plan (run plan, test programmes, tyre use)
• Mechanical setup management in collaboration with drivers and mechanics
• Telemetry data analysis (VBOX / AIM / GT systems)
• Reading and correlating data–onboard–driver feedback
• Definition and optimisation of:
• Fuel consumption strategies, tyre pressures, stint management
• Pit work procedures, checklists, post-event technical reports
• Main interface with drivers (gentleman / Bronze / Silver) for:
• Structured debriefings
• Support for growth and consistency in race pace
• Possible involvement in simulator programme and private tests.
Requirements
• Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace/Vehicle Engineering or equivalent track experience
• At least 3 years' experience as a track engineer in GT / formula / single-make categories
• Excellent knowledge of:
• Data analysis software (e.g. Motec, AIM RaceStudio, VBOX or similar)
• Advanced Excel for strategy, fuel and tyre spreadsheets
• Good level of spoken and written English
• Strong interpersonal skills with drivers and gentleman customers
• Willingness to travel for the entire 2026 calendar (Italy + abroad)
